📈 Mortgage Rates Tick Up This Week

After a few weeks of downward movement, mortgage rates saw a noticeable uptick across most loan types this week. The 30-year fixed climbed to 6.55%, while the 15-year fixed rose to 6.12% - both increasing by more than we’ve seen in recent weeks. Jumbo loans also moved higher to 6.65%, and government-backed options followed suit, with FHA at 6.02% and VA at 6.04%, each up 0.05%. The 7/6 SOFR ARM held steady at 6.25%, offering some consistency in an otherwise rising week.

While this upward shift may feel like a step back, it’s important to remember that rates are still fluctuating within a relatively tight range. These movements are often tied to broader economic data and can change quickly, so timing and strategy continue to matter.

With sales volume jumping and pricing strengthening, we’re seeing clear signs of the busy spring season taking shape.
