📊 Mortgage Rates Hold Steady with Small Shifts
This week brought only minimal movement in mortgage rates, keeping the market steady as we close out September. The 30-year fixed remains unchanged at 6.35%, while the 15-year fixed slipped slightly to 5.89%. Jumbo loans also ticked down a hair to 6.27%.
On the other hand, government-backed products saw small increases: FHA loans rose to 6.05% and VA loans edged up to 6.06%. The 7/6 SOFR ARM also increased by 0.01% but still remains under 6%.
Overall, this stability gives buyers and sellers a consistent backdrop for decision-making, with all major loan types staying comfortably below 7%.
