Mortgage News

š Mortgage Rates Trend Lower Again as the Year Winds Down
Another week of encouraging news for buyers - mortgage rates continued to drift downward across most loan types. The 30-year fixed dropped to 6.27%, while the 15-year fixed eased to 5.75%. Jumbo loans also declined slightly, helping keep higher-price purchases competitive as we close out the year.
Government-backed options remained stable, with FHA and VA holding steady just under 6%. The 7/6 SOFR ARM ticked up modestly, but still remains an attractive option for buyers focused on lower initial payments.
These steady, incremental improvements are giving buyers a bit more breathing room and creating a favorable environment for those planning early 2026 moves.
