📈 Mortgage Rates Tick Up Across Most Loan Types

After a steady start to September, this week brought a slight upward shift in rates. The 30-year fixed inched up to 6.29%, while the 15-year fixed climbed to 5.69%. FHA and VA loans also rose modestly, now at 5.98% and 6.00%, respectively.

The 7/6 SOFR ARM saw the biggest jump, increasing 0.06% to 5.68%, though it still remains one of the lowest-rate options available. Jumbo loans held flat at 6.25%, offering stability in that category.

While these increases are small, they’re a reminder that rates remain sensitive to broader economic factors. For buyers, acting sooner rather than later can help secure lower monthly payments before further adjustments.
