Mortgage News

📉 Mortgage Rates Trend Lower This Week
Mortgage rates moved downward across the board this week, offering some welcome relief for buyers watching affordability closely. The 30-year fixed rate dropped to 6.09%, while the 15-year fixed fell to 5.69%, both down 0.05% from last week. Jumbo loans also improved slightly, sliding to 6.45%, and the 7/6 SOFR ARM saw a more noticeable decrease to 5.39%, continuing to offer one of the lowest payment options available. Government-backed loans followed the same downward trend. FHA loans moved to 5.69%, and VA loans edged down to 5.71%, both improving from last week’s numbers.
While rates are still moving in small increments week to week, the overall direction this week was positive. Even modest drops like these can help improve buying power and monthly payment affordability as we head further into the spring market.
