Mortgage News

📉 Mortgage Rates Continue to Trend Downward This Week!

Mortgage rates are showing some welcome improvement this week, with all six major loan types experiencing slight declines! The 30-year fixed rate dropped to 7.46%, while the 15-year fixed dipped to 7.14%. Jumbo loans also edged lower to 7.62%, offering a little relief for buyers navigating today's higher-rate environment.

Government-backed loans followed the same positive trend, with FHA rates falling to 7.13% and VA rates dropping to 7.15%. The 7/6 SOFR ARM also decreased to 6.88%. While these changes are modest, the consistent downward movement is an encouraging sign for buyers keeping a close eye on affordability.

Video of the Week

Check out this video featuring: NEW Construction Tour | The Winslow at Edgewater | 4-5 Bed, 3,550+ Sq Living In Charlotte

Thinking about moving to the Charlotte area? Today I'm touring The Winslow at Edgewater — a two-story new construction home in Lancaster, SC that gives you 3,550 to 4,513 square feet, up to 5 bedrooms, and a downstairs flex space that can be a study OR a bedroom.

Edgewater was named 2024 Community of the Year, and once you see the amenities, you'll understand why. Championship golf, a lake, a restaurant inside the community, pickleball, resort-style pools, and homes starting in the $300s — all about an hour from Uptown Charlotte and 35 minutes from Rock Hill, with South Carolina's lower tax rate.

⚠️ BEFORE YOU TOUR ANY NEW CONSTRUCTION — WATCH THIS The builder's onsite sales agent works for the builder. Not you. If you register at a community without your own Realtor, you may lose the ability to have representation for that entire build. It costs you nothing extra to bring me — builders account for agent compensation whether you show up with one or not.
